last night Wifey & I went to an Irish pub for beer & dinner. watched the bartender mix up some "house shots" so we tried those as well. yummy. she had a veggie burger & I had fried clams, fresh from Ipswich, part of what we call the North Shore in Massachusetts

Good morning from a ground floor hotel room in Newcastle where the view is of a retaining wall with some bushes on top.

A mostly grey morning so far with the rain radar showing showers around, but nothing here yet. It did show a bit of dampness at home last night so hopefully the solar panels have been given a wash

The homeward train leaves in just under a hour's time giving me 20 minutes or so to let breakfast settle.

Mrs P is busy so i am in charge of dinner.Sausage mash and peas.For Mrs P she has many boxes containing father in laws bits and pieces to sort through.It is best i keep out of the way.The rooms and conservatory are slowly getting back to a sort of normal.But after four weeks of hard diy,i am feeling very tired i have also lost nine pounds in weight.But the diy has been brutal to be honest.So i am just hoping it's work related tiredness and weight loss.

I went back to bed as a migraine started just after doing the washing up.

I contacted a right Richard Head last night about a bike for sale ! I asked if his bike was still for sale? Yes it was. So I asked if I could pop round to see it today as I had been down the pub earlier. He said it might be sold by then. I asked was someone coming round to see it ? He said that someone was popping round later that evening. Why didn't he say that in the first place?
