Good morning from Suffolk where the sunshine continues and the solar panels have almost finished recharging the battery. A much better night's sleep and a very good first coffee have set me up for a day of doing very little.

The young joiner has been and gone.He was here at the crack of dawn.He has hand built us and fitted,an inset display thing for the hole left by removing a gas fire.The metal surround was rusty and ugly.This masterpiece is amazing.We now have to decide what colour i need to paint it.Mrs P will make that choice.This lad is superb.

On another note,we have a lovely blue sky,one or two light clouds.Today we take father in law to Murgatroyds for fish and chips,then i think Golden Acre Park for a coffee and cake.Nice day today.

Wowsers, my accident insurance has paid out already. Only called them on Friday. I missed the email yesterday, but I've been paid out for pelvic fractures and hip socket fractures, so two. Covers the premiums I've paid though. Claim remains open for two years in case of permanent disability, which is, unfortunately, likely.

Any chance of a picture, thinking of having my gas fire removed as it is pretty much an ornament. Sunny both pre and during WAH.

Hit by a full pelt deer whilst out cycling Friday. Sore and bruised but we both survived.

I've borrowed a Brompton for a complex job. Go to garage, different town, collect car and return car and bike to owners.

Have to cycle to station, take train, cycle to garage. My bike won't fit in the car I'm collecting.

My! What an experience!
All a bit different, finding the new centre of gravity. Also the exotic 6 speed gear arrangement.

The second mile is a real challenge for me. I've been spoiled by batteries.
