Back here for the first time in six months. Let's see if I remember which way round to go.

I hope you weren't held up too badly by the roadworks on the Orwell Bridge on your way to hell Felixstowe Dock. Just a warning if you or anyone else sent this way again over the next 6-8 weeks, the bridge will be reduced to one lane each way in a contraflow while they replace expansion joints on the westbound carriageway. Expect long delays.

And no, I don't miss the place at all.

About 1½ hours to get from Hadleigh - - > Copdock junction to the bridge..
I can understand why you don't miss it 😂

My working day and week is completed
Yippee it's the weekend

A warm, blustery and mostly sunny day here chez Casa Reynard after some overnight rain.

Slept well enough, but still not feeling 100%. Had a morning of gentle chores. That included doing a load of laundry, making another prototype Cone of Shame, picking alpine strawberries (I've SO many this year), and making a batch of muesli for the parental.

Tea and toast for luncheon.

Spent a chunk of the afternoon writing. I also washed the Cone of Shame that Lexi got from her Auntie Linda, as Madam barfed all over it last night. Dried the cone in the garden and then I've just finished mending it where it's been looking worse-for-wear. Between the new prototype (which Madam is currently wearing) and this repair, I've figured out what was wrong with the first iteration. (It was also too big and over-engineered). I'll be able to make a spare for me, and one for Linda, to replace the one she gave me.

I've been using upholstery vinyl, which is quick to dry and easy to wipe clean.

Will go out and water everything in a bit. Will also feed the tomatoes and the herb planters.
