Today's 73 plate truck has 379343 kilometres on the odometer and has taken me to Lld Catton. Next stop will be East Dereham.

I was reading something on FB about the armed forces not being able to recruit people. I blame the advertising companies which have taken over. They are so depressing!
I can remember one advert which shows a young lad signing up for the Royal Navy and then selling his motorbike. In the old days it would have shown the young lad signing up and then showing off his new bike to his mates!

Slightly overslept, suddenly concious of slience after hearing the radio switch on.
Seems the birds equally had a lie in as the seed feeder was still full from last evenings topping up.
Aldi trek completed in drizzle. Anither bag of salad leaves and some prawns.
Definitely now avian activity.

Morning all, had my end of week after work ride yesterday, strong winds took some of the fun out of it, but still good to get out.
Washing done and hung on the horses, may as well take advantage of the wind blowing through.

Tut, tut. Back in my day Westgate Street had very particular reputations.
60 years ago the cellar bar at the Angel Hotel was the place to be.

But I need a map to find my way around. Seems much smaller than I remember.

It's good to get a little local colour! I'm not actually staying at the Angel Hotel, I'll be 100yds or so along Castle Street.

My first-thing-in-the-morning blackbird doesn't seem to be around lately. Perhaps he's got other duties to perform (or I'm sleeping unusually deeply in the just before dawn hours). On the other hand, the goldfinches are giving it some, though more around coffee time.

The dawn chorus dies down in mid to late June, they have sprogs to feed.
