Trees opposite continued breakdancing in the gusts. Decided on a car venture to Guiseley to pick up a item currently reduced at Argos than none of the nearer stores have in stock.
Normal crawl through Otley; Wharfedale was presumably sheltered from the worse of the gusts judging by the number of cyclists.
Wandering around the other stores I made use of the gents in Asda Living and got tripped up by a rather violent tap. Sort of sneaked out of the store with a wet front to the jeans. Honest, its water.
Coming back through Yeadon noted the tail end of a TUI jet taking off and their was a Ryanair jet stationary midway down a taxi way.

It's been a hot and blustery day here chez Casa Reynard, and sunny after an overcast start.

Slept well. It's been too hot to do very much. Watered all the planters, did some writing.

Tea and toast for luncheon.

Radio listening and writing and some reading done this afternoon, then off to Tesco at half 6 to get the groceries in. Didn't intend to yellow sticker as I have plenty in. Most of my shop was cupboard staples (canned and dried stuff), toiletries and laundry stuff. Bog roll was on a good clubcard offer, so took the opportunity to stock up.

Yellow stickered items tonight were a tray of cooked chicken breast reduced from £4.50 to £1.85 (which I will share with Madam Lexi), a packet of fresh soba (buckwheat) noodles for 80p and two boxes of Cadbury's raspberry Mini Rolls at 63p each.

There was actually quite a bit this evening - mainly an avalanche of "finest" burgers, several whole chickens (both free range and bog standard) and a load of the bog standard and free range chicken breasts. But I don't need any poultry as I've plenty in the freezer, and the burgers were still more expensive two than the half kilo tray of organic beef mince that I bought a fortnight ago and popped in the freezer. There were a few other odds and sods, but largely nothing of any real interest.

I did treat us to two punnets of strawberries and a large half kilo tray of Kentish blueberries.

Now sat watching the U21 Euro final.

I've been impressed by the U21 standard after watching 3 or 4 games. Lovely crisp passing from the England team.

The moon's going through its random close brackets phase over in the WNW sky.

Still sweltering here in Suffolk. The house is like a sauna despite having windows open all round and I'm trying to resist a late night raid on the ice cream.

Don't know why I bothered getting a shirt out of the wardrobe this morning as the only top I've worn today was my Shaun the Sheep cycling top and that was only while I was out for a ride. It did get a couple of cheerfull comments when I stopped to rehydrate at a pub.
