I've picked some beans to have with my salmon fishcakes & sweet potato wedges for dinner this afternoon 👌

Good morning from a breezy and slowly brightening up Suffolk. Looks like we escaped any further rain last night. A small mug of coffee has been had as there wasn't quite enough left in the canister for the usual large mug first of the day.

The recycling bin has been emptied and needs to be retrieved and then I'll decide what, if anything, I'm going to do today.

A quick drop in earlier than usual to say that Madam Lexi has had her op, and is in recovery. I pick her up at 3pm.

*whew*

One relieved me.

Have to say, Isle Vets are a totally different level of professionalism to where I used to go. Happy with the recommend I got from the friend I go walking and to cat shows with.

I hope she makes a swift recovery.

Recycling bin retrieved and back in its normal place, a load of washing has been done while I was out shopping for lunch and is now on the whirligig to dry in the stiff breeze.

Once I've finished this cuppa, I'm off to the Suffolk Food Hall to treat myself to some quality bacon, sausages and burgers.

It's been a grey, blustery and occasionally sunny day here chez Casa Reynard.

Sleep was a bit meh as I had to have an early start to get the Lexter to the vet. And all the stressy stuff that entails, especially given she's no youngster. Her bloods were OK for a cat of her age, and I'm glad those lumps have been removed. I'll find out next week what they were. She's safely home - first thing she demanded was food - and now she's chilling in her her old (TICA) show pen.

I should explain that when you show TICA as opposed to GCCF, you pay extra for benching on top of your entry fees, and so if you show regularly, it's far cheaper to take your own pop-up cat pen. I haven't shown TICA for about 10 years as Lexi decided she hated it, but hung onto the pen I bought rather than sell it. These things are always useful.

I'm just really knackered now, so a quiet rest-of-the-day will be had.
