Eye hospital can't take the eye out, give it a polish, and pop it back in.

Instead it's laser surgery for a torn retina.

Office day and the mystery of the vanished Nakd bar. Will need to well shake the pannier when I empty it in the morning as its definitely not in the rucksack.
Lunchtime trek to M&S for gift card free bananas and TV guide enlivened by assisting a lost Great Yorkshire show attendee heading in completely the wrong direction for the free bus from the bus station.

Ooh! I hope it is all sorted out soon.

Thanks. Laser surgery done and we hope that's fixed it. If not then I'll be transferred next week to a major eye clinic for more invasive surgery.

Currently I'm munching whilst recovering although the eye's a bit burny. Given how much lasering it's had to repair a quite long tear I'm not in the least bit surprised.

And my optician will receive a thankful phone call tomorrow for being persistent when the eye clinic 'lost' their initial referral two weeks ago

I had a nice 10 mile ride out to Fold Farm for a dozen of their free range eggs. They also make their own ice cream from their dairy herd. I somehow managed to resist an ice cream this time. 🍦

It's been a hot, breezy and mostly sunny day here chez Casa Reynard.

Slept well. Met up with a friend and her dogs for a nice walk among some hedgerow-shaded trails this morning. Also gave her the buster collar I made for her gang should it be needed - to replace the one she lent me and that Lexi trashed. She was well-chuffed with it.

The rest of the day was taken up by a mix of small chores, photo cataloguing and watching the football. I kind of didn't realise I had accumulated nearly a hundred photos in the calendar last year alone. Whoops! Some were a Christmas pressie, but the rest were acquired simply by asking nicely. I do have some more heading my way at some point in the future.

Anyway, I now have to produce all those thumbnails to stick into the catalogue. If I remember rightly, I think I can automate that process in Photoshop.

Had a lovely and slightly naughty supper of leek bhajis with a mint & garlic raita.

She's also quite generous, she allows to me stay in her house, pay all the bills and clean up after her :notworthy:
Plus after I've served up her din dins, should I decide I fancy tuna for mine, upon the initial sound of the can opening, she's suddenly sat right behind me with a look that means I can't do anything but share.

Ah yes. THAT look.

The one that says "I haven't been fed in a month!"

I know it well...
