I could have sworn that there were two packs of cheap bacon in the freezer, but I can only find one and can't remember using the other. It needs using so that's tomorrow's tea sorted once I've got some rolls.

Close, but not quite. There is badminton going on behind me, so maybe I'll watch that as I go round.

A very warm and increasingly windy day here in Suffolk. Didn't stop me getting out for a couple of hours of fun on the bike followed by a shower and and then another couple of hours with the radio & a book in the customary shaded area of the garden in the deck chair.

I think it's almost time for this evening's hot chocolate and possibly to put the duvet back on the bed.

It's been a warm, blustery and mostly overcast day here chez Casa Reynard.

Slept well. Morning was a bit choresy. Did some laundry, watered all the planters, tinkered with the mower (yes, I *do* have to take the cutting deck off... drat!) and had a try at replacing the bust bulb in the car's driver side headlight cluster.

That was an epic fail, as I can't get into the holder to remove the bulb - the cover is royally stuck. I tried a little bit of tool-induced persuasion, but because the components are made of plastic, I don't want to force them and break stuff. I will give things a squirt of GT85 in the morning and leave it for a bit before trying again. If it doesn't work I shall take the car to the garage in the village on Wednesday and get a nice mechanic with the right tools to do it for me.

Spent the afternoon writing, listening to the cricket, and I watched some cycling too.

Supper was tuna, sweetcorn & onion pasta and a tomato salad.

Had a quiet evening watching some interesting documentaries on the TV.

Back after a nice 10 miles which included dropping off the soft plastic recycling at local supermarket.
Bright but cloudy and a gentle breeze.

Ooh! I had a bad nightmare last night which woke me up. I was walking by a wall which curved around a corner. A large lorry or bus cut the corner coming from behind me and as it did it crushed me against the wall. As I was being crushed I realised that this was it and just accepted that it was up. Everything went black and peaceful and I seemed to black out. I reawakened into a completely black world. It was the shock of waking to a world of nothing that made me think. "Is this it?" At that point I woke up with a jolt!
