Good morning from Suffolk where it's been a warm, blustery and mostly sunny start to the day. Coffee has been had with a chocolate digestive or three.

Looking forward to a quiet day with just a trip into town for food shopping for the next few days via a deposit at the bottle bank.

I'm waterproofing my cloth bush hat: it was showing signs of absorbing water on my last rainy ride...

Forum members will be pleased to know that the hat has been sprayed once again and is now thoroughly dried and waterproofed.

That's the shopping done and meals sorted until Saturday.
Coffee number 2 about to be made and then I'll decide whether to do anything with the rest of the afternoon.

A dry lunchtime stroll completed
We had about 5 minutes of rain earlier.

Pouring down in Nottingham. Attempting a touch of household repairs for Dad suddenly noticed a frog hopping into the garage. Hopefully it will have hopped out before the door gets shut

Main repair task was a sticking ex coal store door. Discovered the door was largely sticking on an short exposed piece of damp proof course. Trimmed that back and planed the door a bit with a surform and it now opens and shuts easily.
Rain eventually stopped so another Aldi trek to replenish oranges and slightly confused where they were until I discovered them in a fridge, never come across that before. Disappointingly the passing tram today did not ring its bell.

We have had a bit more rain so that will save me watering the garden
