Recovering today after a very long day volunteering at the London-Edinburgh-London Louth control - did 10am-2am on the main desk plus other activities as needed. We saw about 1700 riders though on their way north before the weather hit, halted the event earlier today, and riders have now been asked to return south-wards.

A hospital eye appointment with the consultant this morning and they're monitoring before making a decision on major eye surgery.
The right decision being made, and one that can't have been foreseen at the planning stage.

I will start wearing face masks from now on. Especially while at work and inside shops/buses etc.
3 Covid vaccinations and I still managed to get Covid twice after that. To say each time I feel awful is to say nothing. Effing torture it is.

Wise xxx TBH, I still wear a mask in most public indoor spaces, as I can't afford mum to get sick.

Lots of hot chamomile tea with honey, ginger & lemon, paracetamol, chicken soup and olbas oil in really hot water and a towel over your head to breathe in the steam. It really helps xxx

Had a nice day today despite the wind. It had died down after the morning and the rain mostly cleared.

I went walked part of an old railway line through the mountains that is slowly being developed into a walking/cycling trail. I did the complete 9.4Km (and back again obviously). Feeling pleased with myself as it's my longest walk since shattering my ankle. I used a hiking pole today and I definitely feel it is a help. My hiking boots are overdue replacement.

I'm now thinking of ways I fit this route into a long day ride cycle loop or maybe with an overnight stay. I've identified a nice place to camp but not sure of the rules alongside old railway lines.

Well that was fun, drove all the way here before I realised we left the roof box key at home as Mrs CK swapped the car keys onto a set without a key for the box.after a few phone calls I found a key place that was able to do another key off the lock number.i was dreading having to drive home and back again ,£7 well spent.

good thing you aren't a human trafficker
