No ride today in the end as i ended up putting the pool back up for the kids which was more time consuming than it sounds, i was very grumpy about it as i had other jobs i need to do as well as actually enjoying some me time without farking about for hours with a pool.

The good first half of August keeps coming - I dropped Greater Anglia a quick reminder email regarding my Delay Repay claim from the end of July as it was past 10 working days since I provided the evidence they requested. Within a couple of hours the money had been credited to my account. And I had a comment on Strava complimenting me on my 'Jaffa Cakes' cycling jersey worn on this afternoon's ride

I think it's time to treat myself to a very cold beer.

it's a constant battle with them. good luck!

I don't have a problem like yours with loose tree debris, mine is with weeds & moss growing in them thanks to the local birdlife carrying seeds or sitting on the roof apex and sh*tting them out which get washed down the roof in the rain. The gutters require a proper scraping out rather than brushing.

Half day at work today. I laid some paving stones in the garden for my Mum this evening. My back and ankle hurt now. I'm getting old...

I've been applying wax to my Carradice panniers as they're getting a bit tatty looking. On my list of interesting things to do, it is just above watching Noel's House Party and unblocking a blocked sink.
