Cloudy skys for once saw the temperature drop back to 20. Aldi trek with the coolbag in the rucksack for a bag of salad leaves.
Confusing signs over the A59. Official road closure signs in both directions for 10 weeks to allow for the Tesco roundabout to be built, but signs in Aldi say it will be open eastbound. Thinking maybe the route around the construction works will be tight so the eastbound closure is actually large vehicles only.
Co-op revisited on the return as this morning I had noted Kellys ice cream was on offer at £3 and I had a 50p app voucher.

You're not going to believe this but when I sproinged my afternoon crumpets out of the toaster to catch them with the tongs, the second one did a back-flip over the tongs and neatly slotted itself into the first slot of the toaster again!

As someone who once leaned over a shredder and neatly inserted his tie into the slot first time, I will certainly believe you

Another very hot day again.

I cleaned and tidied my kitchen today.

Now going to see The Saw Doctors for the first time in many years.:hyper:It's not very often that big name acts come to play within walking distance in my remote corner of the island. Probably too old to pack big venues now!

The brake levers that I bought on the bay finally turned up. They are much better than the description implied.
I think this whole mess up is due to the new system the bay uses. Messages weren't flagged up and when they were we found them difficult to open up to read. The tool bar offers delete, mark as read , mark as unread and something else, no open! My wife eventually found a way to open the messages but it wasn't very intuitive. If the seller was having similar problems I can see how it all happened.

It's been a pleasant day here chez Casa Reynard, overcast and cool early doors, but turned into a lovely sunny afternoon & evening.

Did not sleep well. Not much fun being sweaty and icky. Have had a lovely quiet day. Although I did launder another batch of dust sheets and puttered around a bit in the garage.

Lovely luncheon of toast, salami, fruit and a :cuppa:

Spent the afternoon listening to Trent Rockets v Southern Brave and working on the writing. After, I spent a relaxing hour in the community orchard, mooching around and snacking on fruit. Also picked some more St Everard apples, and some Huntington Codlings. The latter are a variety I can't remember trying before, so we'll see. Apparently they're dual purpose.

Now sat down watching Oval Invincibles v Welsh Fire.
