Good morning from Suffolk where it's another mixed sunshine/cloud/cool breeze type of day. Coffee has been long had.

Why is it that I can have been awake for a couple of hours, but still done absolutely nothing? Oh well, breakfast first and then I'll think about going out for a couple of hours of fresh air & exercise on the bike. This will not end up in a pub lunch as I'm trying to be good after Sunday evening and ahead of tomorrow's away day.

Hong Kongers are famed for taping up windows when a typhoon hits. One guy took it a bit further. ^_^

I’ve put out some peanuts for our Squirrel, that’ll show him who’s boss.

It's been a mostly sunny but somewhat breezy day here chez Casa Reynard - warm where sheltered, but chilly where not.

Slept well enough, but lady issues are still being disruptive. Still feeling a bit fragile, but spent the morning in the company of a friend and her dogs, where we had a gentle bimble and set the world to rights. Turns out she's had the same bug - apparently it's a variant of Covid that's doing the rounds. I haven't done a test, but the intense fatigue, trots and chesty cough seem to be the hallmarks thereof.

Madam Lexi is having a better day - which included "sorting" through some paperwork on my desk. She's rather sore below the waterline though, so I've e-mailed the vet to see if she'll dispense some suitable pain meds to aid Madam's comfort.

Spent the afternoon writing and watching some snooker. A quiet evening is planned - there is the Port Vale v Arsenal on the radio.

An early 8am work start and a lens fell out of my VDU glasses. Having work visits to do this morning, with a couple of rare timed appointments, I left them to sort out a lunchtime, only to find the screws in an old pair having mangled heads. An extended lunch consequently to visit the opticians.
Post WAH found postie had used my "safe place"; the paper and card recycling bin. Took me a double take to realise those 48hr labels weren't on stuff I had put in it.
Then the lawns cut.
