Good morning from Suffolk where it's another bright and sunny start to the day although the trees the other side of the rail line are swaying quite a bit thanks to a stiff north easterly breeze.

Coffee has been had and the overnight bag has been placed by the front door ready for today's away day which will start in about an hour's time when I leave for the train station. As Octopus have updated my energy bill, I have put in a request for some of the excess credit to be returned to my bank account for a bit of fun spending money, but it will still leave £400 credit for winter heating once the direct debit is credited at the start of October.

Oh, and I cleaned out the washing machine bottom filter as it told us it needed to be done. And hoovered out the tumble dryer filter, too..

Emergency trip to local shop for some milk for my daughter who is WFH today and has Skype meetings all day completed.

Second cuppa going down well with a slice of toast and red jam.

I'd spent so long dithering about where to go on the Yorkshire coast that the cheap offers had nearly all disappeared. So I surprised myself by booking a cheap seaside hotel room on the south coast instead. Tonight, I'll be getting Folkestoned!

When I finally got set up with solar, battery and export tariff they advised me to lower my DD so I did, but not as low as they suggested. Which is why this is the second three figure refund I've had

I'm driving to my swim this week as I have too much stuff to drop off at the charity shop and, also, a car battery to collect.
The last couple of batteries were (just) ok to collect on my bike. This one is 19.5 kg so might just snap the straps of ny rucksack, let alone my shoulders 😂
