If I did sleep at all, it would have been catnaps between each time I was aware of the time
I remember seeing every nighttime hour, doubt if I got any proper sleep and the wonder is...I have no idea why, just no desire to doze off.
Laid on the sofa now having had 20 mins nap, feel yukky and washed out. Bleuchhh

Forty very enjoyable, if somewhat windy, miles completed this afternoon which wasn't bad considering the food & drink excess of Sunday and the two days of sitting around on trains. Not a lot done since the post ride shower other than catch up on the news and check the walking routes for next week's away day.
I suppose I'd better go out into the kitchen, put the lights on and cook something for tea.

Evening cuppa went down well with an almost see through slice of chocolate swiss roll
Evening shopping disaster. 75p 2 pints milk from Waitrose using an app voucher toubled out of the boot as opened the hatchback. Hoped it was okay but the subsequent puddle of milk forming on the kitchen table said not. 2 x 450ml split into 4 containers into the freezer for use in future bread making. Remainder that did not spill in a jug in the fridge.
Before that baffled by the till Asda telling me to replace the item (bananas). Turned out despite putting them on the scales and pressing banana it hadn't actually recorded them.

It's been quite a pleasant and mostly sunny day here chez Casa Reynard despite being quite breezy.
Slept well enough. A choresy morning was had, including cleaning the grate and going through my apple store. Rotten ones were wanged, and damaged ones were pulled out for immediate use. Also locked and loaded the crock pot with the bolognese for tonight's supper.
Lovely luncheon of a salami & smoked cheese sandwich.
After luncheon, spent an hour and a half in the garden, clearing storm damage. Two large branches came off my curly willow, but as they are covered in ivy, I have to remove that before I can see where to stick the chainsaw in. Still got a lot to do, but I can now see that one branch is green and will have to be stacked in the log store, but the other is dead, so can be diverted to immediate use.
Also prepared the fruit to make a batch of apple & grape jelly. I picked my grapes the other day, but despite keeping them cold, the wretched things were well on their way to developing language skills. So half of them ended up in the green bin. Annoying. But the apples I pulled this morning were still pretty decent, and I used fewer than expected. Also added in a dinged quince pear. The fruit is cooked, but I'm waiting for it to cool before I put it in the jelly bag to drip through overnight.
Fabby supper of a bolognese pasta bake. I have some blueberries to snack on for later.
Was watching the Lionesses v Matildas, and now that's done, switched to Wrexham v Cardiff in the Carabao Cup.

Bit more water added to the central heating system and then fired the boiler up for the first time at this end of the year. A quick walk round with a screwdriver to bleed the radiators and as usual the only one which needed it was in the bathroom at the end of the run. Seems to be running quite nicely, but I'll see what the result of the service is at the end of November - a quick check shows a decent new one can be supplied & fitted for under £4k which may be a treat to myself next year from savings interest payouts.
