My working day and week is completed

An annoying Friday where others you have been waiting on decide late in the afternoon to send what I have been waiting for
A 4ish end to WAH transpired to be 5 past 5.
One interruption. Door bell went and a small Yodel package found on the doorstep. Bit puzzled as the only thing I knew Yodel to be bringing is a kitchen worktop storage unit. Turned out to be a battery replacement power supply ordered off Amazon

It's been a soggy, squelchy, miserable day here chez Casa Reynard.

Slept well enough, but still feel really drained. Spent the morning topping up all the firewood in the house, and adding the insulation / draught excluder strips to the second of the kitchen windows. Did the outer casement, but didn't quite have enough to finish the inner, so a trip to B&M is required for another pack.

After, it was off to pick up Madam Ruby. Horrendous driving conditions, and the A10 was backed up all the way from Ely up to Black Horse, but fortunately in the opposite direction of the way I was going - I came back through Littleport. Madam duly picked up, paperwork done etc etc etc.

She is now hiding in the dining room behind my stash of walnuts. She has had some treats though, and I'll just leave her to decompress. I suspect she'll come out and explore the house once the humans have gone to bed.

Now sat down by the fire with a and about to turn on the early evening news.

yeah the 2-packs are small. I think they used to come in 3-packs. I've never bought a box. too much temptation

SWe have been to Barnsley! We went to the indoor market and I bought 2 caps. We later to some other place and I found an Evans store and wandered round. I didn't buy anything.

2 is better than one, eh?

I can't help thinking that a bottle of beer is not the most effective way of baiting small rodents.

It's just so they don't mind being caged up.
When they wake up, they'll have a hell of a hangover though.
