I watched the British Cycling coaches make their youth track riders ride round Manchester velodrome in the other direction. Suddenly these rapid youngsters, a couple of whom are now in the World Tour, couldn't ride properly at all.

I think I prefer leaning into bends in one direction over another.

Son no. 2 said it just felt weird. Either way it was a comical 10 minutes to watch.

Good morning from a bright and sunny Suffolk. Coffee has been had with a custard cream biscuit.

Once I've had a shower and shave I'm off out on the ebike using the carrying capacity of the panniers to pick up the click & collect order and a few bottles of orange squash as I opened the last of my spare stock last night.

Just like on the road, I can take left hand corners much quicker than right hand ones on the bike for some reason.

Chilly sunny morning. Another load of washing put out in hope more than expectation of being dry later today.
The older white "wood" vinyl planks on the kitchen look better this morning after giving them a dose of the cleaning solution yesterday afternoon.
Foolishly followed the instructions to the letter and then realised 6 litres was far too much. Excess thrown on the rear yard and equally a number of the slabs look far cleaner than they were.
Now to check the credit card bills. Have two, one is used solely for on line transactions.

Mrs ck off on a coach trip to a winter fayre so i missed the chance of overtime to drop her off thinking it was futher to the pick up point but she could have walked there in 10 mins , kids dont surface till dinner time so it was pretty pointless .
Just had an early sarnie before a turbo sesh in a bit as im taking kids out for dinner at 4 and i dont want to be eating to close to the meal or i wont eat it all .

Second cuppa went down well as did the hot cordial drink with a Pick up chocolate biscuit.

My M&S parcel arrived early so as it's nice day and im up to it. I walked down to collect it and had a look round got a few small bits on yellow sticker. Checked if my sparks freebie was still in date ,so bagged a tube of mini double chocolate bites which can go away for Christmas.
One last job was looking at the wine as we want a bottle as part of a Christmas present. So a lovely bottle of red wine was had and it was time for steady walk back home.

Glad I took the ebike and panniers today as I picked up a couple of extra bits while out that I wouldn't have had room for with a normal backpack. It also meant that I could scoot past the various queues and that wind was stronger than it looked.

A load of bike clothing has been put on to wash and the timing means that if I doze off during the Grand Prix (as is most likely if the sprint was anything to go by) the loud beeps when it finish should act as an alarm to wake me in time to cook tea.
