Another collection for son no. 2's hopeful house move this afternoon - this time a 'nearly new' washing machine that turned out to be unused, with an ironing board added as a freebie.

There are a few bits left to source (chest of drawers/single wardrobe(s)/hoover/toaster/kettle), but we'll need a big van for his move to Brampton.

Ah ! He'll be able to practice his surf boarding techniques in his new digs then?

Day off work and raining as badly as forecast. Their were two reasons for taking leave on a wet day; one the vamped up still 30 year old work conputer system is down and the other was a hospital appointment which I was anticipating bad news but instead discharged.
Lidl thereafter shopped, still no dark chocolate rice cakes, and the car filled up at the Texaco station which seems to be 2p cheaper than the supermarkets

Good morning from a wet and windy Suffolk. Looks like an indoor day again.

Coffee has been had and a few swear words issued as HMRC have changed my tax code again - it's getting to the stage where I might just as well have my pension paid to them and be allowed a little bit of pocket money each week.

About the most exciting thing to be done today is to change the filter cartridges on my water jugs.
