Oh! Another realisation at just how out of touch TV presenters are. The government say that 1 in 15 cars have illegal number plates so probably that is more like 1 in 7. The presenters said that if caught they should be banned. Most likely the reason why they have an illegal number plate is that they are already banned.
Am I the only devious person to think that?

They maybe mean illegally spaced? I know you're not supposed to alter the spacing on your reg to make it look like your name, etc.

No its some coating which makes speed cameras etc unable to read them.

Good morning from a soggy and still fairly dark Suffolk. There's been quite a bit of rain overnight/early this morning and occasional showers continue.

Coffee has been had and it looks like today will be a mostly indoor day of domestics.

9F aka -12.7C outside right now. waiting 15 minutes before starting the cars & checking 3 rodent traps inside the house. trash pickup isn't until tomorrow so if we're lucky, there's a neighborhood trash can I bring the mice to. I know I should chuck them in the forest & reuse the traps but I'm too squeamish. so I just bag them & chuck the trap & rodent in the trash. no idea what our town does w/ trash, bury or burn. if this situation continues I might change the procedures. really surprised this is an ongoing problem
