How long is your machine on for ?

Normally it has a 45-minute programme, which is quite enough for work clothes, but today I was washing "nice" clothes including white shirts and smart items, well, smart for me anyway, so that got the "premium" soap and the full 3h15min programme.

It has now finished, and the clean items are hanging on the dryer.

Indeed. Usually I wait until I have a full load of posh(ish) clothes and switch it on while I'm at work, but I wanted to see if the shirts would be less crumpled if I take them out more quickly.

Of course, I could (1) actually buy an iron or (2) finally work out how to use the delayed start on the machine...

On (2), have you considered reading the washing machine manual?

And in the case of it was there when you moved in, you can always get a copy online.

That's the evening hot chocolate had.

The runny nose and chesty cough from the cold I had for a couple of weeks are back again after a few days of whatever passes for normality round here. Perhaps I'm allergic to housework.

Yep the 45min wash won't get white shirts 'white', OK for daily clobber. Does the machine not have a 'reduced creases' button
