It's been a bright day here chez Casa Reynard after a chilly and somewhat murky start.
Slept well enough. The usual choresy morning was had. I also hauled in the wood I cut last week but had to abandon. That is stashed safely in the garage as I now have room for fresh supplies.
A lovely luncheon was had of crusty bloomer, Tesco's "Finest" smoked cheddar, half a deliciously ripe mango and a
All the wood bins in the house were quickly topped up, and then off to the medical centre in Soham to get my leg seen to. As expected, it's still too early to remove the stitches, and the wound still does look quite angry. It's weeping and inflamed, but thankfully not infected, and the stitches have held. Bottom line, it just needs more time. The nurse re-dressed the wound - she put on some bright yellow antimicrobial stuff under the dressing, and has given me some spares. I also need to make another appointment for some point between Christmas & New Year at my own surgery, but that's easier said than done. It looks like I'll be doing my own dressings until after the holidays...

and biskit, and then off to Tesco for some of the 15p veg and to see what I could sniff out on yellow sticker. Not overly much of interest on sticker - most of it was being boxed up for charity, but I still came home with a crusty bloomer, two pains au raisins and a box of Min Spies from the in store bakery, a tub of coleslaw, three boxes of organic free range eggs and another boxed cheese assortment.
I have seriously lucked out on cheese on sticker this festive season. Most of it will go in the freezer, and so I won't need to buy "lunch" cheese for quite a while!
They did have the giant Melton Mowbray pork pies in, so one had to jump into my trolley.
Had cauliflower soup, a chicken & avocado roll, and then the last of the apple pie and cream for supper. All this whilst listening to Everton v Arsenal.
Am now sat by the fire with a
