I’ve noticed two things today, 1 you always join the longest queue and 2 Poinsettias just last one week, still we have a nice new expensive pot added to our collection.

They're toxic to cats, ergo I have a fake one. And a tablecloth with a poinsettia design on it.

My working day is completed

Tesco Ely has been busy, but not as crazy busy as I've known it in the past. I think people have either a) gotten ahead better this year or b) are having a smaller Christmas generally. That said, I'm glad I've not been anywhere near town today. Although will be going tomorrow for a crack at the yellow stickers.

it’s a good rental, good visibility out, bright color good safety visibility, good road manners, handles predictably, does OK on highways & today on my morning commute which has 1/2 local roads. plenty of acceleration for getting on the highway ahead of trucks & over 40mpg for 30 miles of mixed driving! & I like adaptive cruise control!

a few minor negatives - cheap toylike feel, door controls are not illuminated, no sign of awd, every now & it then makes weird sounds, guessing it's the CVT?

Probably, although I do not get much noise out of my Murano, but it has a lot of rustproofing and sound deadening. A very solid old crate.

Pate has been decorated and glazed. Just waiting for it to cool before popping it in the fridge. The last of today's kitchen efforts will be making a batch of crumble topping.

Progress made on the deck. A bit of tidy up in the morning.
Suggestions how I can convince the management that the new deck is her Christmas present.

Bike still sulking unattended.
Going to be Wednesday and recce for the 50th celebration outing.

Well, now the management wants the new deck to be treated.
Boxing Day Circus or similar? Didn't get the reaction I would have liked.

Suggestions for what I might treat the deck with. Assuming the humidity gets out of triple figures sometime soon.

- figured out the multiple picture self timer setting for the family group photo but ordered an infrared remote because I want more control
- I believe I have all gifts squared away & wrapped
- Sis has a plan for Mom & our eldest Brother
- my gout seems to be subsiding, however, it may rear it's ugly head so I'm abstaining from animal meat & alcohol. the next 48hrs will determine if I can have a taste of each on the 25th
- took Rosie the cat for an outdoor stroll in the light snow & cold. didn't come in until she decided. the fun part was opening the door w/ no leash & watching her run out to scare the garden of animals. yes, I'm playing with fire. but it's a calculated risk. she's on my lap watching me type this
- the pet sitter just checked in to confirm her role
- I like Christmas Eve day, because it's the fail-safe, for getting your act together
- toss up which car we'll take for the 350 mile round trip. the rental is the newest, cleanest & most empty. the weather should be dry & safe
