A grey, mildish and occasionally drizzly day here chez Casa Reynard.
Slept well, and overslept massively. Which has had me behind the curve all day. Aaaaargh! So it was quite literally chuck clothes on, grab handbag and straight out of the door to go yellow stickering in Tesco.
Didn't do too badly in there considering. Chilled was pretty well much a bust - the only things I was interested in were some chicken thigh fillets, but the trays hadn't been stickered, so they stayed where they were. Green bins was still the same booze and doritos that have been there for most of the last week. No sign of much in the way of Christmas clearances other than on cheese. Which I definitely took advantage of. Once can never have enough cheese. Also did well in the fruit and veg, and bagged new potatoes, pears, oranges and a job lot of mangoes. (Will be making mango chutney.)
Back home to a late luncheon. Then it was playing catch up on the chores, and getting the rest of the YS purchases portioned up and stored in the freezer. The one item that hasn't been dealt with was the big pork joint I picked up on a good clubcard offer - that's still got several days to run on the date, which means I can divide it in two and freeze it when I've got the time to do it. That will officially see my freezer chock full.
I've also wrapped and packaged a Cake Day gift, ready to go into the post tomorrow.
Lovely supper of the last of the beetroot soup, a bacon roll, and the last of the Christmas pud, topped with a glug of cream.
I was too busy to remember a Bay of E auction I wanted to bid in, but the item didn't sell, so I shall ping a message to the seller. I also forgot about the RI lecture, so I shall watch it on catch up later.
