I have never done any pottery, and am not likely to, but I enjoy watching the creativity of the contestants. The judges are also very encouraging and enthusiastic. The only other "competive" programme I watch is "Sewing Bee".

I do some pottering, but that is of the garden variety.

Wifi printer just worked. Didn't really do anything other than browse the printer settings - but suddenly it was listed as idle rather than offline.

Last night I discovered how it was possible to get through a whole roll of toilet paper in a day! I now have 5 minutes to finish my last coffee before I get to the no drinking part of my fast.

Yes, I thought Sudocreme might help. Still, the fasting is now over and I've been 5 hours without a toilet visit.

Not great news: I have an anal tumour (with photos....), so scans and bloods for now and another colonoscopy visit under general anaesthetic for a biopsy in around 2 weeks time.

It's been a chilly, grey and murky day here chez Casa Reynard, albeit a dry one.

Sleep was middling at best. Fell asleep in front of my laptop (was working on some writing), and woke up at half four in the morning. At least I was already *in* bed, so just needed to throw the jim jams on and turn the light off. But back and elbow were nagging, and it took an age to drop off. Meh.

The usual choresy morning was had, and then off into the garden with the chainsaw to carry on dismantling that ash tree. I am now down to the main trunk, which is way wider than the 14 inch bar on the saw. So been cutting slices and then cutting those up, as they'd be impossible to split otherwise. Reckon each slice is sort of around the 15 to 20kg mark. Did as much as I had fuel in the saw.

Then back out to haul in what I'd cut up. That was three large wheelbarrows' worth - 18 chunks, 6 in each load. Stowed that in the garage, and brought the wood I'd split earlier into the house.

After, did a large load of laundry. It's currently drip drying over the bath after wringing out the worst of the moisture.

The cat has just been fed (Sheba fine flakes with turkey) and soon it will be time to feed me.

Cold and dry but did have a ride, little wind about. Strangely it did`nt feel so cold as my ride on Saturday, even though the mercury said otherwise. Tomorrow will be a no no, yet more rain is forecast.

It was recommended to me by a sympathetic nurse.
Sorry, that's a bit more serious than my brush with an east European trainee colonoscopist. She was homely but warm hand and sympathetic.
Do hope the situation gets managed.

I don't know what I did to appease the transport Gods, but it worked.
I'd allowed two hours to get to Bluewater from my sister's (90 minutes in case of heavy traffic plus 30 minutes 'just in case') but it was done in under 75 minutes and that included knocking back the cruise control by 5mph once past Chelmsford. A little wander was had (I stayed away from the Ribble Cycles showroom ) and a cup of coffee while waiting for the others to arrive and this was followed by a very enjoyable near 3 hour lunch and natter.
With late afternoon traffic the return drive took slightly longer, but nowhere near as long as expected. If only it was always like that.

I'm still stuffed from lunch and haven't even touched the Sicilian Lemon Cheesecake Slices spotted on yellow sticker while walking through M&S on the way out.
