You may be awaiting an explanation of the reason for my time travel.

My appointment today was at a small hospital built in 1939 as an Emergency Medical Services Hospital, and used by the RAF during WW2.

It is now a community hospital, (with a minor injuries unit).

Considering its age, it was in remarkably good condition. It is mostly single storey buildings, which would have been easy to build. Presumably they are easier to maintain, despite their age.

I was seen within five minutes of my appointment time. The person doing the ultrasound was able to confirm good news. I said I thought I would have to wait two or three weeks for results. She responded that she would be writing the report, and therefore could tell me the results.

I thought it was going to be but no. They hit a tailwind & go too fast & wind up back in time, then they try to return in time but go back to 1939 & the airport in NYC doesn't know what jets are, then they try again to go back to their proper time & the episode ends, ugh

A stranger just paid for my chips!

Popped into a random chippy for a portion of chips. Just as the staff were telling me that they don't take card payments and i was about to leave, a couple had walked in and the guy took three quid out of his pocket and paid for my chips. How kind.

That is the big thing no one has invented yet (or
have they?) If it did Peterborough 19 September 1906 would be a good choice to hopefully resolve one of the 20th centuries biggest mysteries.
That night a Kings Cross-Edinburgh train derailed at Grantham with the death of 14 people. The train should have stopped at the station; the loco which had been put on at Peterborough solely to drag the train up the climb to Grantham taken off. As such the points were already set for the locos move and the train hit them going far too fast.
No one has ever managed to explain why the locos crew, on a duty they had done the previous evening, made such an error.
I suspect the answer would be an found in the loco crew room or at Peterborough station.

Got my moneys worth of council tax today..
It's bin day, i live between two streets, one either side.
So i put 2 bins out the front street, get them emptied, bring straight back, refill with prearranged stuff im clearing, wheel them out the back street which gets emptied a couple hours later. Splendid

I think we have a landline number.. It's never been plugged in since we moved here several years ago.
We just rely on mobiles & switch to silent as & when necessary.

The only person who still phoned ours was my father-in-law, who passed away last month. No-ones's phoned us on it since then, not even junk calls.

I'm starting to wonder whether they were from him just for fun.
