I connected our loudspeakers to our hi fi and tried playing a couple of records. The sound from the records seemed different to what I've heard from our stereo, or it seemed that way to me.

Ended up soaking in the bath for 45 minutes - got in while it was still filling as they kicked off the second half of the Leeds/Arsenal match and got out just before the final whistle. Only do this once or twice a year, but I do like to get my money's worth - only needed one top up of hot water as well. Bacon rolls wend down a treat as well.

Since then absolutely nothing has been done other than the evening's hot chocolate and the first of a few trips to the fridge.

Found a highly rated Brother laser printer/ 3 in 1 on Amazon £135 below manufacturers price, and cheaper than the now dumb HP one was 8 years ago. More expensive than ink jets but in the last 8 years I haven't had to buy any ink. Only print occasionally and with an ink jet that typically meant finding s need fot new cartridges as the existing had dried up.
I got fed up with my previous WiFi colour printer/scanner (Epson?) for similar reasons to your faults - frequently lost connection, slow printing, random paper jam sensor errors, expensive genuine cartridges and temperamental with generic replacement ones.
I hardly ever printed in colour or scanned anything,so I've now got a mono Brother laster printer (HL-1110). It's USB wired connection, the generic replacement toner cartridges are cheap and it's been totally reliable since purchase.

Messaging my brother all night... started with a message yesterday as he was looking to get a bike. Credit to him, he has found one up for sale from a farm in a very posh place of Cheshire (with cow poo in the background etc).

It's a Carrera Vengeance, my son has one, and I know these bikes back to front. It's a good price - too many folk are asking silly money - 2/3rds new, for a well worn bike. I have said I'll take them in the van (dad and son - morning out)..

It will need work, and my brother's son's bike needs a gear cable change. Thing is, my brother is a dentist.. he's sorted out my son and daughter with treatment as we are family - our local dentist dumped the NHS clients. My brother is die-hard I am staying NHS, especially where he delivers his services, so I'm more than happy to help get him a cheap bike - TBH he could get a new one, but it won't get used enough.
