I've never moved house still living in the same house I've always lived in. Have helped Mrs 73 move out the nursing accommodation when she moved in with me. But that was only a room full of stuff so only needed one car trip.
The only other move I've ever done was When I was a manger for th²e library service. I got lumbered with managing the packing up and relocation of our main library. That did take some doing and planning it was long old few days of work.

In our 50 years together we have moved 10 times.
It is my intention that the 11th will be in the cheapest one trip packaging, horizontal and one way.

Day's work finished. Off to the outdoor gym to await the arrival of my homewards lift.

I found her hanging one-handed from the pull-up bar making monkey noises.

Good morning from a grey skied and soggy underfoot from overnight rain Suffolk.

Coffee and a very slow start to the day have been had and I plan on continuing in that mode for the rest of the day. About the only thing that will be done is for the usual Sunday stroll into town for a free hot drink and walk along the seafront - and that depends on whether the clump of wet stuff currently sitting to the south east side of London heads in this direction.

Incontinent iron, dumb HP printer and its 8 year unused inkjet predecessor taken to the recycling site.
10 minute walk around town before most shops opened and then Waitrose; £1.50 app vouchers used on hake and yellow label scones.

The day started grey again but has now brightened a little. Did another slow 20 miles this morning, nice to be out.

Morning spent playing housework catch up, then off into town called into Lidi to find much of the bread was reduced. Due to short date however who ever did it got a bit carried away. Found some well in date had been included so bagged two loaves for less than cost of one.
Going to have another then make a start on last bit of house work.

I got fed up with my previous WiFi colour printer/scanner (Epson?) for similar reasons to your faults - frequently lost connection, slow printing, random paper jam sensor errors, expensive genuine cartridges and temperamental with generic replacement ones.
I hardly ever printed in colour or scanned anything,so I've now got a mono Brother laster printer (HL-1110). It's USB wired connection, the generic replacement toner cartridges are cheap and it's been totally reliable since purchase.

We moved to a brother (HL-2270DW) laser printer too as we got fed up of having replace ink due to low use. We've had it years and it's been faultless. Never had a issue with it being wifi then again being a Apple household built in drivers just makes plug and play work.

Day no getting nowhere with my wifi printer. Thought being offline might be fixed by installing a firmware update and reistalling the wibdows software but no. Did run a troubleshooter which fixed it briefly but a new problem of printing in greyscale only unless its a test print emerged.
Maybe its saying its 8 years old and wants replacing.
Otherwise its been a turning dry and sunny at times day. An Aldi trek was undertaken; noticeable tyat cornflower has strunk in size.

Yeah, we tried a WiFi printer (Brother iirc) blooming aggro all the time. No substitute for a cable.IMHO...
