It's been a sunny and surprising mild day here chez Casa Reynard, albeit now the temperatures have dipped somewhat.

Slept like a hibernating bear, and overslept somewhat once again. Got all the chores done PDQ, and then spent the remainder of the morning doing kitchen things.

Lovely luncheon of crusty bloomer, salami and gruyere cheese, along with half a punnet of raspberries and a :cuppa:

Then back into the kitchen to finish the prep for tonight's supper. The lamb breast I bought yesterday was divided in two and shoved into the freezer. I now have enough space to put the large quantity of brie I bought over the Christmas into the freezer, with the added bonus that it's had the time to ripen. Firewood bins in the house were also re-stocked.

I am now watching the curling, but will shortly have to pop back into the kitchen to put the oven on to preheat.

Got seen in radiotherapy early , so off for my weekly review finally seen nearly 2 hours later. What's the best bit is the review last about 2 minutes. So what should have been an early trip home turned into getting stuck in peck traffic. It happens most of the time I've no idea what the Dr gets up to between appointments.

Halfway through the working week already.

I had a few things to buy after work and was looking at the Hyundai Inster that the local Hyundai dealership left in the shopping centre on display. Nice wee car actually, but I couldn't help notice a cut on the front tyre. If I was buying a brand new car, I'd expect unblemished tyres.

I'm not long back from a twenty mile ride. Nice night, but cold.

Got home from Bury this afternoon to find that Mum had popped round while I was out and left a carrier bag of mixed snacks and other foodstuffs as an early birthday pressie due to me being away this weekend. I was good and put everything away in the cupboards and only had the rolls picked up on the way with a can of soup for tea.

Thanks to the conditions on the roads today and the bike not having a full rear mudguard, all the muck from the rear wheel got flung against the seat tube and sprayed over the back of my legs. The bike now needs a good clean, my trousers are in the washing pile and the shoes are in the rear porch waiting to have the mud brushed off and then wiped down.

Nothing else done this evening except catch up with the news and faff around on here.
