Good morning from a fourth floor hotel room in partially sunny Lincoln.
Coffee has been had and after a shower I'm off into town for breakfast and more coffee followed by trains from here to Retford, Leeds and finally Harrogate where my 61st cake day will be celebrated with more beer & food.

Broke another Ikea Reko glass, now down 2 out of 6 so another trip there may be needed in the future. Afterall at 25p each difficult to better.
Tesco trek undertaken for clubcard reduced fruit juice and Nakd Bars plus a pack of their freefrom Belgium chocolate 2 bar Kit Kat equivalents at an eye watering 55p each.

Thanks all. A large breakfast and a couple of coffees have been had leaving enough time for a stroll along the river and Brayford Pool before heading to the train station.
No cake will be left in Yorkshire, it will be taken with me internally.
You will have to eat a fair bit, Yorkshire with its number of coffee shops got voted the capital of cake.

3 out of 4 missing things found. Two pairs of scissors hiding under a pack of cleaning wipes and the coffee machines drip tray suddenly appeared in front of washing machine. How I had not seen it earlier is a mystery as I had loaded it with a stack of cycling bibs.
Missing still is the Co-op card, not a major issue as its on the app. Enquired in Waitrose if it had been found, thinking it may have dropped out of my wallet taking theirs out previously, but plainly no blue card was present amongst the vast collection of primarily their cards.

From the Harrogate Tap by the way, where the beer's not cheap but unlike last night I don't mind paying for quality. There may even be enough light later on for a stroll round The Stray before booking into the hotel.That sounds like quite an interesting challenge

As long as you don't cycle or talk of cycling as you go across the Stray, otherwise the ladies that lunch will start foaming at the mouth. Ideally you should only look from afar using it for anything they see as heresy.
