The lovely early morning raspberry ripple red sky has now passed. Leaving a cloudy dull sort of morning feel.

There were none, other than trolleys that might/might not appear, and disappear, at stations along the route.
Reminds me of a story Prue Leith told years ago on a Tv show. When she was on the board of British Rail in the 80's one of things she was in charge of was the catering and hotels. On time they kept getting letters saying the bacon sandwiches on the x train to x are excellent. Others complaining saying why are they not as good on the later train to X. When they asked she'd got told we don't do bacon sandwiches on that train. So looking into it they found out the steward on the train had side line. Splitting the money with the guy in the station stores who use to nick the bacon.
When we went to an evening with a few years ago she talked about her time at BR. The meetings started at about 8 and went on well into midnight, the board was made up of men of certain age. When she 1st started ever time she left the room to go to the toilet etc they all use to stand up. Every time she walked in the room they did the same. In the end she had to say your going to have to stop this you need to treat me as a equal member of the board or we will never get though the meeting.

Good morning from a rather grey Suffolk. It's as if the weather knows I've got a couple of away days this week and is reverting to normal after today :rain::cold:

Coffee has been had and the bin has been emptied and needs to be retrieved. Today's 'to do' list includes sorting out the overnight bag and a trip into town for some travel snacks. Optional extras are vacuuming and getting the clippers out for a quick haircut depending on whether I can be bothered or not.
