The local ice cream cafes were open today which surprised me given the weather

This was an ice cream van, driving around with it's jingle jingling!

This is perhaps not mundane.
My lovely daughter sent me a snap of a roast dinner she had prepared for her and her partner. That's the mundane bit.
I didn't expect it to be a Jabba the Hutt meal.😱

Put the recording of the Japanese GP on this afternoon and soon decided that a snooze was more interesting. Flat out on the sofa, sleeping bag over me for warmth and that was it for about an hour. Woke up to find out it had been raining, nothing heavy but just enough to make everything very wet. Other than cooking tea and doing the washing up, nothing at all has been done this afternoon & evening.

The evening's hot chocolate has been had and the recycling bin has not been moved to the front of the house as it doesn't need emptying.

Well, I'm up do-do creek.

Drive from the deep south to Yorkshire.
We are at a wedding tomorrow.

Unloading the car.
Where's my suit cover?
What suit cover?

The one showing in the sitting room on the home security system.
Oh, gosh that is annoying.
Putting aside the fact that my departure was presurised and rushed is not a point that it is smart to make right now.

My options, in the morning?
Balls it out and wear the smart casual cords, button down Oxford shirt a racy merino jumper?
Have a contrasting cord shacket that might pass for trendy.
Or panic early and get a more suitable outfit?

This is compounded by the fact that I don't really want to be here. Certainly don't want to buy more clothes in a little Yorkshire town where you don't go without a hat.
It's very windy and even for March it's very cold.
Doh!

Borrow or steal. You could beg but that is just SO undignified.

You could, of course, turn up naked, and claim to have just joined the Militant Naturists Front.
