The earlier drizzle was used as the excuse to give the car a run for the first time in 10 days, making it slightly easier than using the ebike & panniers to get the pillow and shopping home. A cheese roll and a mug of coffee have been had for lunch.

An hour's walk will be had soon and I'll pick up the train tickets & bike reservations for tomorrow's trips while I'm out.

We've just renewed our English Heritage membership. So i've just changed over my card, they always come early and have a label on the front.
Reminding you they are not valid until renewed, I've just carefully removed it but it's still taken a big chuck of the front of the card with it.

Having just spent the day finishing the writing of a 35-page exam case study for May on [ahem ... redacted] I'm now about to start some re-sit marking. Anyone want to help?

That's one of my pet hates! Labels that won't come off easily or that do as yours has done. There's plenty of Low Tack alternatives around.

Well i have sorted something out today.After fish and chips,Mrs P went out for coffee with a pal.Me and him were dropped off at home.I could not face my fourth day sitting,so i got my gardening clothes on and weeded our drive .Our great neighbour came out and i had a flash of brilliance,could i get back to helping him with his garden.I used to do it before cancer.You see father in law is not mobile he cannot walk more than twenty paces and is out of puff.He will not sit in the wheelchair so taking him out is a nightmare.He cannot be left for more than two and a half hours on his own.So if one of us wants to go out,the other stays in ,now i have just done my fourth on the trot looking after him.I cannot sit on my rear end reading all the time,but i can garden next door and keep popping my head in to our conservatory.I think i might have found my solution to being cooped up with him,so simple,oh its going to be a good summer,gardening.Its lifted my spirits already and i have weeded three quarters of next doors block driveway.

Had a rather less exciting day than yesterday, when I was the structural engineer in attendance at the demolition of the Big Mill in Leek.
