The afternoon's walk turned into a slightly longer one than planned as the local station didn't have the 'Print pre-paid tickets' option showing on screen (out of paper?) so I had to walk into Felixstowe to get them printed out there. There was even a little bit of almost brightness while out and it was warm enough to need to remove my jacket for the last half hour.

On the downside, the TV has had a software update resulting in a completely revised homepage. It has also removed the BBC iPlayer, ITVX, C4 & C5 apps (although I don't use the latter two) and replaced them with a whole slew of other rubbish and clutter  At least if needed they can be accessed via the EE TV box.

It's time for the evening's hot chocolate and then possibly an early night.

It's been a warm day here chez Casa Reynard, with a mix of sunshine and the odd shower.

Slept well for once - managed seven hours and feel all the better for it. Sill in sleep deficit, but hopefully things are improving. Made myself a :cuppa: as it was still early, and took it back to bed. Sat with the laptop and did some writing. At a more decent hour, I swapped the jim jams for a hoodie and joggers and cleared all the chores.

Had a lovely luncheon of a ham & mustard sandwich, a packet of crisps, a homemade granola bar and my two :cuppa: pot of tea.

Then it was into more presentable clothing, and off in the car to Cambridge (well, Fen Ditton actually) to do the paperwork with the funeral director. The chap I've been dealing with is off sick, so had a lovely lady helping me instead - and funnily enough, she lives in the next village along from me. Anyways, forms all filled in, everything is paid for, and now that can move ahead. So that's one less headache.

Back home through some pretty shitty traffic on the A10, but got in just in time to make a :cuppa: and sit down to watch Deadliest Catch.

Supper was a reprise of last night's sausage & bean casserole with wholegrain cous cous.

Then I threw together a pear & almond crumble, and I just had a portion of that, along with some cream on top. I was going to make a pear & ginger crumble, but the new box of cornflour (which I use to toss the fruit in, and which thickens the juices) is in the utility room behind the garage, and I couldn't be bothered to go back out. So used ground almonds (and a little almond extract) to absorb the excess juices from the fruit. And bloody lovely it was too! :hungry:

A quiet remainder of the evening is planned. And I need another :cuppa:

Time to bank the fire for the night and hobble off upstairs to bed via a nice hot bath.

Nunnight one and all xxx :hello:
