Found in the Yorkshire hills ...
SWMBO would like two rooms painting - the downstairs office and son no. 1's old bedroom.

So ... samples selected and on the walls. Sort of. They're a ... bit ... messy. But hopefully enough for her to choose. Or decide to select more samples.

OK ... so we're on samples 14 and 15 and have finally got there

Samples 8 and 11 were OK for the bedroom but the downstairs office has been a bigger issue.

SWMBO has chosen expensive paint (Farrow & Ball) for three of the four colours so I'll need to have a lie down after buying it :headshake:

My suggestion that I could mix all the paint samples together and have enough to do a whole room didn't go down that well.

Still absolutely stuffed from tea - and that was 3 hours ago.

Couldn't resist the lure of the sunshine & warmth this afternoon and decided to have another ride out, train home day with a takeaway when I got home. Had to stop off on the way out and withdraw cash from an ATM as the takeaway is cash only, crossed over the industrial estate to Halfords and picked up a replacement multi tool and then carried on to Stowmarket where a couple of very nice cold beers were had while sat in the sunshine.

Once back home I went straight to the Chinese and ordered the food (Sweet & sour chicken balls in batter with a small portion of chips - very adventurous). I don't know if this is going to be the normal portion size or if they're doing bigger pieces to lure people in, but I was only just able to finish the chicken balls and had to leave half the chips!

Since then I've essentially been slumped in the armchair unable to move from the overload of food, although I will have to get up soon to make a hot chocolate.

It's been a beautiful warm and sunny day here chez Casa Reynard.

Seriously short-changed on sleep again, and my get-up-and-go has truly gotten up and buggered off. Took the customary :cuppa: upstairs and edited some writing.

All intentions of doing firewood and paperwork went out of the window, although I did do all the chores, a load of handwash laundry and did some more clearing up. In doing so, have discovered mouse damage from the incident last year, and some my jumpers have been chewed. Joy... NOT.

Lovely luncheon of a roll filled with roast beef, plus a banana yoghurt and a pot of tea.

Spent the afternoon doing a bit more clearing up - at a fairly slow pace. And then gave up and sat outside in the sun with a book and a few snacks.

Have had a quiet evening doing some research.

Supper was an impromptu Nasi Goreng.

I am SO tired...

Good morning from Suffolk where it's been another lovely warm and hazily sunny start to the day. Coffee has been had after another very good night's sleep - I think I've been borrowing @Reynard 's missing sleep for the past couple of days.

Thankfully not going on any outings today - I need to give my legs a rest after the past few days. All that needs to be done is a shopping trip for food & drink for the rest of the week and I may allow the use of the ebike once I've worked out whether it will all fit into a backpack or not.

I've heard nothing from my mum or sister so I presume that my stepfather has been safely delivered to the hospital for his hip replacement operation today. I can't plan anything for the next few days as I'm on patient collection/visitor transport duties from Friday, but no release date has been confirmed yet.
