:wacko:Is it ROSPA who are responsible for driving safety features for blind drivers? Yesterday's ride one of the roads was really bad with potholes and ruts but having to contend with rumble strips before and after a bend was OTO. Beige tarmac with strips of red raised tarmac which I couldn't avoid. Perfect! And why are they there after the bend? Is it for drivers who drive on the right?

Good morning from a cloudy but bright Suffolk. Coffee has been had with the first biscuit from a freshly opened pack of dark chocolate digestives.

Can't do much today as I'm waiting for the phone call from mum to arrange taking her to visit stepfather in hospital, but that has to wait until she's had a phone call from the doctors regarding a possible MRI for her on her back.

Those barstwards at HMRC have issued my tax code for the new financial year - it's 83L which means I can earn a massive £835 before I pay income tax this year. It's my own fault for being prudent and having taxable savings interest (which can't be taxed at the time of payout) so they have to tax my private pension instead to make up the difference. Thankfully this will be the last year this happens as when both bonds mature later in the year, the money will be put back into Premium Bonds (tax free returns) and into other savings with returns up to the £1000 personal allowance.
My current cash savings have just been stuck into a cash ISA to keep it out of Rachel from accounts hands, so I hope nothing expensive needs doing in the next few months.

Time for an hour's walk to relax before I pick Mum up to take her to visit stepfather.

Trust someone to ruin the magic...

Look at the photos the crew took. They're breathtaking.

And it's one of these instances where the more you see, the less you realise you know. It's good valid science topped with a sprinkling of stardust. And I'd rather public money be spent on this than on entitled numpties lobbing spendy missiles at each other.

Well, nice shots but I was more impressed when Webb got launched. That really was doing something new, this is boldly going where we've been before. Apollo did it several times with less cash, less tech and less hype.
