Journeys (taxi/rail replacement bus/train/train/bus) done and made it to Pontcysyllte Aqueduct for lunch despite just missing a bus on the final bus leg.

SWMBO decided she would like to come with me. And there's no way she'd ride 10 miles, let alone 100.
Anyway, home without incident. The 2013 Chrysler Ypsilon Black & Red model drives perfectly fine and, imho, is a bargain for what I paid via an eBay auction.
Shed and other storage bits cleared of small wood pieces, oddly shaped offcuts and old furniture drawer panels. Filled a large Sports Direct carrier with them.
Taken to the recycling site along with a dead electric fan.
Then weeds tackled, either pulled out or sprayed with weed killer.

spent the day with half of my grandchildren and their parents visiting my dad (now nearly 101). They have now headed home leaving me with my dad. he is now getting ready for bed. my turn for the bathroom next

It's been a pleasant enough day here chez Casa Reynard.
Had the best night's sleep in a long time - got seven hours and felt really quite refreshed this morning. Went downstairs, fed the cat, and took a
back up to bed and did some writing.
At a better hour, the chores got done. I also did a load of laundry.
Spent some time watching a bit of snooker and the horse racing from Ayr whilst eating luncheon. That consisted of cheese on toast, a couple of tangerines and a pot of tea.
After, went out and did some more strimming. The garden is starting to look much more tidy. And it was lovely outside - a real pleasure to be in the fresh air. While I was out, spotted a melanistic rabbit hopping about nibbling on some grass.
When that was done, I made a batch of onion bhajis and did the prep for supper. Took some bhajis to my friend Linda, as well as some of my freebie onions from Aldi. On the way home, dropped off three bin liners full of jumpers in the clothes bank. It sounded empty, so will take another three bags on Monday.
Fabby supper of thinly sliced beef with sesame & soy, rice and stir-fried broccoli with ginger & chilli
Now for a quiet evening watching the snooker. And all this talk of hot chocolates has me sitting here fancying one.
