GHS 100 in 8 ride this morning, 100 miles in 8 hours from various start points, all converging on Brumby Gardens in Pocklington. I'm starting from Dewsbury, with others from elsewhere in Yorkshire. May do the whole ride, may not, we'll see.

All funds raised from the £5 entry fee goes to the GHS Youth Time Trial for under 16's later this year.

Good morning from Suffolk where we have sunshine and blue skies yet again. Coffee has been had while listening to the radio and the sound of a childrens' football match from the local playing field.

This morning will involve at least a couple of hours out on the bike and then picking up a bit of shopping on the way back. I'll need to avoid the traffic heading into Ipswich for the midday football kickoff. That should leave the afternoon free for a whole lot of lazing around.

Sunny day so far with the odd cloudy moment. Washing out on the airer then the car boot emptied as the water in the bottom had adversely affected the spare wheel and jack.
Coatings of Jenolite and/or Hammerite applied. Boot carpet is now wet in a different place. As there is no water in the bottom and there was a bit still in.it after I had otherwise emptied wondering if its that having evaporated upwards.
Ebike headed out this afternoon only to return as its controller was partially hidden by the sportscam. More black tape applied to the handlebar
Then across town to Sainsbury's for Braeburn apples @£1.20 plus 45p worth of Nectar points. As I'm still wary of the ankle I twisted I made sure I was leaning on something when mounting the ebike as annoyingly that ankle is on my standing foot and trying to mount the bike from the other side will only be a bigger disaster I suspect. On the return I coasted behind a cyclist on a road bike who seemed to be to going far too slow for the climb ahead in the Showground. He then made a blistering attack and despite my quickest ebike ascent since Nov 24 I didn't draw level until the top. We chatted rest of the off open road route.
Thence to Asda for a couple of sticky toffee puddings.
Thereafter had a tumble to the ground. Turning off road onto a cyclepath the front wheel I think caught a rough broken kerb otherwise buried in tarmac and forward motion stopped in an instance. No harm done bar no doubt some bruises.
10 3/4 miles and 669ft upwards keeping the ebikes motor entertained.
