Venison casserole was a success. TO DIE FOR veggie lasagne not suited as a side so it survives for another day. Washed down with Thatcher 00. Home made 🥕 and coriander starter. Gu caramel cheese cake pudding. So stuffed I can hardly walk.

Just unblocked our toilet this evening!

Another thread was discussing Amazon prime ....
Googled options for plungers and the like, and ordered a "toilet snake kit" and it came today about 6pm. So pleased with my Amazon subscription.

An hour spent using the snake to drag out a mass of wet wipes that somebody in this house had thrown down the pan and it was clear again and all working again.

Good to know that you only scooped out the wet wipes and nothing more sinister 😜😂

Noticed a little bit of light rain on the living room windows when I finally got off my backside to cook tea this afternoon. Now slowly starting to catch up with some of the recorded motorsport from today, although I will be able to skip some of the BTCC stuff having watched it live.

Time for the evening's hot chocolate.

A cool and briskly sunny day here chez Casa Reynard, but it did cloud over.

Sleep was a bit meh, but I was up early enough to not miss any of the BTCC meeting from Donington and from the Members Meeting at Goodwood. Had the former on the telly and the latter on the laptop.

That resulted in a very lazy day that was only interrupted by trips to the kitchen for tea and comestibles. Cheese & smoked sausage toasties for luncheon, plus cherries, tangerines and pistachios for snacking.

Supper was a carrot, sultana & red lentil dhal, rice, home made onion bhajis, and mint raita.

Now sat by the fire in the company of Madam Boo and am watching the snooker.

I've been having a bit of a break from mundanity dues to work related stress.

Nothing much of interest has happened here, but I did win a prize tonight in a raffle.

That's the diet f***ed again
