Not a bomber but i am old enough to remember a U2 being captured by the Russians in the 60's.

A bright day here chez Casa Reynard, warm in the sun, but chilly in the brisk easterly.

Sleep was decent enough, but only six and a half hours. Went downstairs, fed the cat, and took a :cuppa: upstairs. Back to bed with the laptop. Started off by clearing some admin. Only probate to sort out now, but will be getting some help with that. Then I did a good chunk on the writing.

Up at a better hour. Did all the chores. Also watered all the planters and swept the garage floor. Then went out with the strimmer and did another decent chunk. Working at the back now, out of view, so it doesn't have to be quite as neat. Just need to keep things from turning into triffids LOL.

Lovely luncheon of a tiger roll filled with tuna & sweetcorn, plus a banana, a tangerine and a pot of tea.

Sat down to watch the snooker this afternoon, as Ronnie O'Sullivan was playing. Once the session was finished, I made a batch of muesli flapjacks. The parental liked muesli, but I'm not a fan, so thought this would be a good way of making inroads. I also groomed the cat, as she's starting to shed.

A use-stuff-up supper of dhal, yoghurt and a grilled tiger roll.

A quiet remainder of the evening involving snooker and Deadliest Catch is planned.

The evening's hot chocolate has just been made.

Can someone please turn the breeze down - I was knackered after today's 20 mile loop as there was no respite from it and no noticeable tail wind in any direction. After a shower, the remainder of the afternoon was spent slumped on the sofa with reading material and the radio on in the background. Not much more has been done this evening either.

Another lovely bright but cold day.

A surprisingly peaceful day at work as my manager is off sick. Funny how work goes better without her...

I had been planning on getting a shed since I moved here and finally ordered it today. 10' x 8' is the biggest I can realistically put in my tiny back yard and still have some outdoor space for washing line, bins, and I actually prefer to work at bikes outside anyway, if it's daylight and not pouring rain. I ordered it from a local supplier who is literally less than a mile away and he came around today to see and make recommendations. I should have in 3 to 4 weeks.

Someone else would have been €200 cheaper but I lack faith in someone who can't be bothered to put their display models together properly!

I went for a 25 mile ride after work.
