Had a look for the meteor shower when I got up in the night. Sky looked rather milky. Nothing seen. Perhaps in didn't happen.

Now in the office. I feel it is important to commute on public transport occasionally, just to remind myself how bl**ding dreadful it is and why the cycling commute even through the traffic clogged roads of South London is so wonderful.

Good morning from Suffolk where it's another very bright & breezy start to the day now the little bit of light cloud has dispersed. Coffee has been has after another very good night's sleep.

Nothing to do today that can't wait until tomorrow, so I think I'm going to have another bike out, train home day. A shorter ride than yesterday and more straight out to the west to take advantage of the breeze from the east. Drinks may be involved before the train home.

Herne Bay is nicer. I've been to both.

But Herne Bay doesn't have a velodrome. 450m of banked concrete (wouldn't want to fall on that!) with cyclocross and MTB facilities. It's actually a pretty good place with an Olympics history. But, admittedly, Herne Hill doesn't have a seaside.

Speaking of public transport.. I intend (hope) to catch the No 17 omnibus to my swimming today.
Lane sessions are now at 14:00 instead of 14:30 so the No 14 isn't quite so convenient.

Wifey had a night away w/ Daughter for a girls spa getaway. had the cat's undivided attention, got to sleep late & woke late. but got the trash out, fed the cat, made coffee & breakfast
