It's been a beautiful sunny day here chez Casa Reynard, and surprisingly warm.
Very short changed on sleep - only five hours. Hey ho. Went downstairs, fed the cat, and took a

back up to bed. Settled in with the laptop for a writing session - which ended up being very productive.
At a more decent hour, jim jams were swapped for clothes, and the chores were cleared. I also bagged up a load of handbags for the charity shop, which meant that I could shift some more of my stuff into the wardrobe.
Bottom line, I am NOT allowed to buy any more socks.
That done, I went out into the garden to do another bit of strimmering. Slowly, surely, I am getting there. Things are looking decidedly neater. Whilst out there, I discovered another branch has come off the curly willow, so more lumberjilling required. The wood is dry, so it can be cut up for immediate use.
Had a later than usual luncheon of two slices of wholemeal toast (the last two slices), one with smoked Polish sausage, one with a fabby ripe gorgonzola, plus two tangerines and a pot of tea. As it was such a lovely day, I took my meal out into the garden, and sat reading in the sunshine. What a treat.
I did end up coming back in sooner than intended, as I was in danger of turning into a bit of a lobster. Whoops!
Did a bit more writing - sat on the bed in the company of Madam Boo. She's finally getting the hang of joining me on the bed, which is a big step for her. I also bid - and won - an auction on the 'bay for a Rado watch. Not one of the more desirable models as it's a simple two hand hand-winder dress watch, but I liked the look of it. Got it for the price of a takeaway pizza.
At teatime, I threw on some presentable clothing and toddled off to Tesco. I remembered the soft plastics this time, but forgot my shopping list. But other than one item that I decided not to buy, I remembered everything on it. Rather impressed with myself. Not much to be had on yellow sticker, but still picked up lambs kidneys, jersey royals, watercress and some nice bread from the bakery.
Had a fabby supper of fresh crusty bread, butter and a cheeseboard, along with a pot of tea, some fruit and some walnuts.
A quiet remainder of the evening is planned.
