Reasons why I like retirement number 94 - if I want to spend a little under two hours walking into town and back just to spend 10 minutes drinking a hot chocolate I can.

Also for the first time since I stopped doing shifts well over 3 1/2 years ago I saw 'Nerd t-shirt guy'. No idea who he is but always used to see him on the early shift commute and he was always wearing a top/jacket referencing some sort of computer game or Manga character.

Time for a simple tea of soup & rolls.

Post WAH lawns cut. The back one in particular had taken a liking to the recent weather.
Seems the shops are falling over themselves to give money away, £6 off £30 at Morrisons, £5 off £30 at Lidl and £5 off £35 at Asda.

It is an 'old trick'.....................If by giving 'discount' you can get customers to buy from you then they don't buy from your competitors............Evil really

It's been a lovely warm sunny day here chez Casa Reynard after a chilly, murky start.

Again short-changed on sleep, but at least the six hours I got were pretty decent. Went downstairs, fed the cat, made a :cuppa: and took it back up to do a spot of writing. A reasonably productive morning in that respect.

That done, I cleared the chores, did some washing up, and put away yesterday's shopping. Then I had some kitchen time, loading the crock pot with the makings of a sugo arrabiata for tonight's evening meal. Didn't fancy doing anything in the garden, so instead, I bagged up three lots of stuff for the charity shop and shoved them up on the loft where they are out of the way.

Had a slightly later than intended luncheon of a roast beef & mustard sandwich (in a chunk of salt & pepper baguette), two tangerines, a home made flapjack and a pot of tea. As it was so lovely, I took my meal outside and sat in the garden. Also had a cheeky half hour with a book.

Topped up all the firewood in the house and then took myself off for a bicycular bimble in the company of Rocky the Hardtail. Did one of my usual loops and really enjoyed being out.

Had a fabby supper of Gnocchi alla Sorrentina :hungry: :mrpig:

A lovely quiet evening watching Deadliest Catch and the snooker.

Another lovely day here. It was like summer, much warmer than yesterday.

In the morning I went to an event/open day thing at the museum where they were showing all the work that goes on behind the scenes, cataloguing all the donations and what they do to keep things from deteriorating. Very interesting,

Sixty(ish) mile ride in the afternoon, in glorious sunshine.

I really am starting to feel much better. I could get used to this not working!
