Another cycling commute to the office this morning. Rather overcast and a bit windy, but otherwise very nice.

Came in along the Lower Road route today instead of passing the Millwall football ground just for a change of scenery.

Loads of marathon related debris scattered everywhere still waiting to be cleaned up.

Now sunny but more than slightly breezy out there. At least the towels got dried quickly. Shopping has been done, coffee being had, vacuuming next followed by a sausage roll.

Had a quick look at the car on the way out - the little rain we've had was barely enough to wash the dust off, let alone the bird sh*t. Guess I'd better get the bucket and sponge out tomorrow.

The Yardbirds cd that I ordered arrived this afternoon. I played it in the car. I can remember some of the songs from the 60's.

We need rain, but I want to go for a ride. If I go I will take a waterproof.

Brake bleeding may have forced it's way to the top of the "to do" list

Otherwise stay indoors and do the overdue wedding service booklet.
Why 2 eighty year olds want to get married escapes me. Both repeat offenders.

The gas men are sort of hibernating. No action but an ongoing presence.

I went off to Screwfix to pick up a stone cutting disc for the angle grinder. This is related to repairing wonky areas around the Lady Cave

On my return I find the gasmen have folded their tents and moved on. Leaving broken hearts and fatherless children i don't doubt.

Just watching a bit of today's US royal visit , it's a pity the king is not accompanied by a few divisions of Grenadier guards. As watching the US lot is like watching a bunch of chocolate solders , the drill is so wooden every thing is so false. As for the band let's not mention that bit.

Worling day best forgotten. Had to write yes to something I really wanted to say no to then this afternoon had a total prat on the phone.
Post WAH found Amazon very quitely had delivered the new outdoor furniture cover. For once I got the size right but bemused by various clip fits and a couple of straps on it. If those are meant to stop in blowing off I have couple of iarge stones which go on top.
At lunchtime finally managed to place an online order at last, having tried to place it numerous times yesterday and earlier today using Firefox then Edge then Chrome without success. Eventually discovered if I did not log in the items finally would go into the "bag" and then at the payment screen I logged in without issue.
