Spent the morning having fun. My cake day present from Mrs O, back in March. Driving four classics around the Peak District. Ice cream was necessary on such a lovely day.

The lovely weather continues. I had been worried my back would be agony today, but it's not too bad really, just a little stiff. I decided to take things easy rather than risk making it worse.

I did take some old clothes to the charity shop.

I went for a drive then and a bit of a coastal walk. It seems touroid season is upon us already. I was thinking of Oldwheels as I followed a hire Yaris at doing all of about 9 Km/Hr in places, hitting the heady heights of 20 on the straights. There really is no reason to go so slow on that road as it's well sighted.

I had Marmite on toast with hard boiled eggs for tea.

Lidl shopped for the last "coupon plus" free bag of potatoes. Its changing to some other reward offer next week. Had to split the shop to ensure it wasn't a free cheaper bag of salad leaves. Also another 3 pack of boxer briefs at £4.04.
Called into the Co-op on the return to use the weeks app offers on Royal Galas and a large can of Kenco coffee.

It's been a beautiful sunny day here chez Casa Reynard, and very warm where there was shelter from a fairly biting easterly.

Managed seven hours of sleep in two goes, but it wasn't quality sleep. The weird dreams didn't help, either. Slipped into the usual routine of downstairs to feed the cat (who slept part of the night on the bed, then brought half her toys upstairs), and take a :cuppa: to bed so I could do some writing on the laptop.

Came back down at a more reasonable hour. Cleared some of the chores, then spent an hour and a half in the garden. Scraped a load of moss off the path and did a load of strimmering. Had to stop the latter, because I was beginning to overheat.

Lovely luncheon of a roast beef & gruyere sandwich, an orange and a pot of tea.

Spent the afternoon watching the snooker, then back to finishing the chores. That included scooping the litter tray and watering all the planters outside.

I've had a quiet evening.

Supper was salmon in watercress sauce, jersey royals and roasted baby plum tomatoes.

I shall wash up once the snooker has finished for the evening.

A very good day has been had. Sunshine all day, almost quite warm once inland and thanks to the change in wind direction, a relatively fast time for a lumpy (for Suffolk) 35 miles. Drinks, lunch, train ride home and then just relaxing with coffee & toast.
Something similar but at a slower pace and in a different direction will be done on Friday.

Hot chocolate next.

Washing up has been done.
