My working day and week is completed
Bring on the weekend

Was thinking the same and a very heavy downpour occurred probably setting the theme for the weekend.

I just ate a slice of ham, without bread.

Sometimes I'm shocked by my own decadence.

corrective action can be arranged

No count news yet , they can't even be bothered to start counting till late morning. Someone I know has told me it's looking worse than they thought.
In other news early morning trip to town has been had and the washing is now out on the line. Need to go back to town later as Mrs 73 needs something picking up.

can't be worse than here where 1.6 millions voters said they wanted a certain thing but judges say nope

A bit of a different way to spend some of the late afternoon , I'm currently down at our local count. Having been ask out the blue by a candidate I know well if i'd go as part of his official group. Wish they'd get on with it , it was never this slow when I use to go before.
The question has to be why are we still messing around with bits of paper. If remote areas of India can vote in person electronically via touch screens. Why can't we update things a bit?

It's been a warm and occasionally sunny day here chez Casa Reynard.

Sleep is slowly getting better. Seven hours again, and starting to feel better in myself. Downstairs, feed cat, take a :cuppa: upstairs and crack on with the writing. Did a good bit this morning - part of this is based on a podcast, plus an interesting factoid someone told me about twenty five years ago. The challenge is getting the characters to say the right things, although with a part of the story that's effectively just two people in a room, there's fewer frills and satellite characters to have to worry about.

Chores then done. Emptied garden waste wheelie brought in and returned to base. Also spent some time in the kitchen loading up the crock pot with the makings of tonight's pasta sauce. Then went out and did a nice batch of weeding, with said weeds being deposited in the newly emptied bin.

Had a lovely luncheon of a cheese & chutney sandwich, an orange, some strawberries and a pot of tea.

Did a bit more writing, watched some snooker and sorted some admin, and then treated myself to a bicycular bimble. Took Rocky the Hardtail and went on a nice eight mile loop on the gravel trails around the fishing lakes at Oxlode. Stopped off at the Pymoor book exchange on the way home, and ended up cycling back with a few interesting tomes shoved down the front of my jersey!

Lovely supper of tagiatelle with a sausage & mediterranean veggie sauce.

Now back watching the snooker again - Ronnie O'Sullivan v Peter Lines.
