Soon be time for breakfast before a leisurely wander around town. Oban doesn't look much different from when I was last here years ago.

I check in for the ferry at around midday. Looking forward to sailing on the Glen Sannox.

It was chosen specifically to be near the anniversary of Jarvis’s mother's death, not to align with church seasons like Lent or Whitsuntide.
Established by Anna Jarvis in the early 20th century to honor her own mother, who had passed away on May 9, 1905. Signed into law as a national holiday in 1914 by Woodrow Wilson.

Back to school for me

In England, I was taught, it was so servañts could visit their home church. Their mother's got a home visit to. Then it got confused.

No boundary changes in your area then.
It should be one year and two years with the one with the most votes voted in for three years. But with no election on the fourth year, basically a "system reset".
Last one(boundary changes) being 22 years in this area.

Boundary changed have gone barking. The current emphasis is on making sure MPs have equivalent population numbers regardless of how stupid the boundary is. As such there will be one that forms a belt across North Yorkshire from Bedale to Filey.
Then the stupidly huge uniitary North Yorkshire Council was set out up with a committee structure based on MPs constituencies which will no longer be the case and now there will be a constituency that links Boroughbridge with Wetherby (West Yorkshire).

The flower mystery has been solved,a note was pushed through our letter box yesterday.as we were out having dinner.They belong to the second house on the even side of the street,how you get a low even number mixed up with a low number in the odd twenties range i have no idea.
