The broken bed has been dismantled and the new, more solid, bed has been put together. Let's see if the person who claimed not to have broken it can break this one.

My SIL did that last year when she and MrsF stayed at a pub. Bear in mind SIL is early 60's - she decided to bounce on the bed - it broke, and she's not a big person. Lied to the pub about it ! FFS.

Summer has finally arrived. I even got my legs slightly sunburnt despite putting on sunscreen.

Nice ride today past Lough Inagh and I stopped at an art and craft fair in Letterfrack, but didn't buy anything.

I went to Omey island, which accessible at low tide by riding across a beach.

Running total of 133 miles over the two days. I will see what tomorrow brings. Have two possible routes in mind.

Today didn't turn out to be as mundane as I'd expected. I needed to open a new bottle of orange squash for the mid-morning drink , only to find out that it was the last one in my cupboard. Normally I'd have stocked up well before getting to the last one, so I decided to pop out and get a decent back-up supply in.

Normal service resumed in the afternoon and I nearly finished the book while enjoying the comfort of the deck chair in the shade.

I saw a Harry Quinn in the wild today. Don't see too many 531 frames out and about any more. Not around here anyway.

Well, I got all the way to the multi-use trail on my recumbent, then my back tire exploded. It is the same tire it came with, and sat in a barn for many years. Training wheels came in handy, as my wheel was low enough to provide forward motion, but high enough not to damage the rim. Also, I was able to ride somewhere, a small step ahead.
