Visit completed followed by a ride around Felixstowe being cooled nicely thanks to the breeze.

Now for a cold drink and an ice cream.

Return visit to see dad in hospital complete along with a trip to his house for things he wanted. Bit chaotic going so used the A614 and mused how long tourist signs to The Major Oak will remain in place. The return seemed fine until the A1 came to a complete standstill for 5 minutes without any obvious cause.

Rounded my day off nicely

It's been a warm but mostly overcast day here chez Casa Reynard.

Crashed out like a light last night to the football on the radio. Slept like a log after a stupid busy day yesterday. Downstairs, fed the cat, made a :cuppa: and took it upstairs to chill on the bed catching up with yesterday's Formula E. Also read some articles that I'd bookmarked because they'd caught my interest. And I decided to have a jimjams day.

Lovely luncheon of luncheon meat on toast, greek yoghurt with a pear, and a small pot of tea.

Have spent the afternoon watching athletics and football, and a programme on named trains. Now switched back to the football.

A fabby if tiring day was had yesterday, stewarding for a pupil judge. We had some household pet classes, but most of were in section 4, where I handled mainly devon rex, la perms and egyptian maus, with some ocicats and bengals thrown in. It's kind of funny when you know more about some of the breeds than the judge you're stewarding for - thanks to a very thorough education from a senior section 4 judge who likes to book me when she's judging in this region.

I didn't get belted or bit yesterday thank goodness, but the bengals we had were a bit shonky - mainly down to them being entire males. I really enjoyed handling the devon rexes and la perms - they have such lovely temperaments, and I will admit that they're breeds I really do like.

I also bought a large pink mouse toy for Madam Boo, which she has enjoyed playing with.

Another amazing day. I've clocked up 183 miles over the three days. Feel happy with that. I really must get my fitness back to where it was pre-accident.

It's funny seeing all these people in their enormous SUVs get in each others' way on the narrow coast roads near the beaches while I cycle on completely unconcerned. Cars being freedom...

Pity I have to go back home again tomorrow. Then work on Tuesday. xx(

Another relaxed afternoon has been had, although (dare I say it) with the north easterly breeze it got slightly chilly in the shade at times when the cloud obscured the sun.

I will shortly be trying to set up a new Kindle - Amazon have finally ended support for the older ones I have and I like to have one for home & one for travel so I took up the 20% discount & £15 book credit offer and had the latest generation one delivered today. Still prefer a real book, but I do like the Megapacks of classic (a.k.a. junk) sci-fi collections for under a £1
