"80 year old thug has illegal bike seized."
"Because I need to get to the toilet quickly" defence not accepted

Or do I use a 40 year old moped as donor?
Then go legalish.

Fit a legal 15.5mph motor.

that sounds lovely

too bad we have to drive 100 miles to a beach. we've dreamt of living at the beach, but in reality we're happier where we are. it keeps the beach as a special place. this is just one of several that we frequent throughout the year

I'm about 800 miles, if you don't count Lake Michigan. I am a two hour train ride and about an hour's interurban ride from Indiana Beach on the South Shore Line. Which drops me right at the entrance of The Dunes.

OK, who nicked the sunshine and turned the fans on?

Shopping completed in cloudy & blustery conditions which have continued for most of the afternoon. Made a bit of a fun extended ride of it with some offroading as well, doing triple the 6 miles the outing should have taken. The good news is that everything will just about go in the small overnight bag and with it forecast to be warm, Endure Hummvee baggy cycling shorts can securely carry things like phone, keys, old farts travel card, etc.

I went up the garden to bring the bird feeders in for a clean & top-up.
I didn't realise that there was a young and fluffy goldfinch hanging on the back until it popped its head around the corner.
I had a little chat & whistle with it but I don't think we were talking the same language as it chirruped a few times and flew away 🤗

It's been a warm but overcast and blustery day here chez Casa Reynard.

Slept well after falling asleep to the sound of Columbia v Ghana. Woke up less than an hour before the F1 sprint, so downstairs, feed the cat, make a :cuppa: and settle down to watch the coverage. Cleared the chores after.

Lovely luncheon of sourdough baguette with salami & manchego cheese, plus a flat peach, a tangerine and a pot of tea.

Have done very little other than watch assorted sports on the 'box and laptop, tinker with a poem, and munch on a batch of homemade crisps. Madam Boo had a very fine time chasing a butterfly that had flown into the house via the open window on the landing. Some ornaments and books lost their battle with a 5kg tortie, but fortunately nothing got broken.

Now watching Canada v Morocco.
