I drove from Chatteris, past Ely & up the A10 to Kings Lynn this morning at about 07:00 and opened the window to hear if a certain lady of that parish was doing any early morning Lumberjilling.
Couldn't hear properly, though, as the fridge on the trailer was making too much noise 🤷‍♂️

As the forecast is for cooler after today, we postponed the ride to tomorrow and went National Trusting instead.

Went to the Priest’s House at Eaton on the Hill, then on to Peckover House in Wisbech. A good day was had by all, and there was icecream too 👍

Another seemingly mundane WAH day until once it ended an unknown lady at my door with a parcel in her hand.
Turned out to be yesterdays missing parcel delivered to the same house number on a street with one word transposed.

Back home where it's much cooler outside due to a shift in the wind direction. Still hot inside, but that's due to the house having been shut up for the past couple of days. The consumables in the overnight bag have been replaced and it's been made ready for the next outing towards the end of the month.

Not really hungry after the big breakfast so a slice or two of toast and a coffee will suffice for tea.

Note to self for future reference: do not sit on the metal benches at Peterborough station if they've been in full sunshine all day. Nearly got a scorched botty even through my shorts.
